About Us

Taylor Culbertson, MFT

Taylor specializes in supporting adolescents, families and couples navigating challenges of all kinds: anxiety, depression, unhealthy behaviors at school and at home, substance abuse and more. Many teens and parents today are feeling the impact of the mental health crisis affecting our adolescent generation, and Taylor’s passion is helping her clients work through these challenges with support, tools and compassion.

Her career journey has allowed her to work in many different clinical settings that support teens and families. Taylor has worked with foster youth in group homes, adult and child victims of crime in the clinic and shelter settings, kids on the autism spectrum and their families in their homes, and most recently teenagers with substance use and mental health struggles in the crisis residential setting. Taylor’s clinical practice integrates wisdom from these diverse settings, as well as over 12 years of individual clinical therapy experience.

Taylor’s goal is to empower her clients to understand the root cause of issues driving their mental health experience, create healthier boundaries, improve coping skills, live a life in line with their values, and improve effective communication in relationships.

Taylor was born and raised in Minnesota, where she pursued her bachelors in sociology and family social science at the University of Minnesota. Her independence and sense of adventure pushed her west to California in 2008, where she pursued her masters degree in counseling psychology from JFK University. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters on weekend adventures.

Our Practice

At Moraine Therapy, we use mindfulness practices to increase awareness and insight into the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and actions to help clients act in line with their core values. With knowledge comes the power to choose.

Change happens when you feel seen and heard by your therapist, and have the support and understanding to explore what changes could help you live a more meaningful life. Our clients come with a sense of curiosity and willingness to explore new and different ways of navigating their relationships, with themselves and others.

We recognize that people are impacted by their life experience. Over time we pick things up and evolve the way we think, feel, and navigate relationships. As we grow our values change, and we leave behind what no longer serves us in our goals and relationships with ourselves and others.

We’re here to support the transformation you’re looking to achieve, through insight, support, and tools to reframe your inner experience. Together, we can help your spirit thrive.
